Payments
Stripe Integration
Take payments, run subscriptions and pay out sellers with Stripe. We build integrations that handle declines, duplicate webhooks and failed renewals, with reconciliation that flags mismatches.
Stripe payments that hold up after launch
Stripe processes the card, but your product still has to handle everything around it: declined cards, renewals that fail, webhooks that arrive twice or late, and records that drift from your accounting. We build Stripe integrations for one-time payments, subscriptions, marketplaces and invoicing that handle those cases, keep card data on Stripe's side, and give your team the logs, alerts and reconciliation reports to account for every payment.
AI-assisted, engineer-led Stripe integration
How AI assists
- Drafts contract tests from the Stripe API reference, using test cards for declines, disputes and 3D Secure
- Generates webhook handler scaffolding and event fixtures for engineers to review and harden
- Reviews event logs and reconciliation reports to trace a failed payment or payout to its cause
- Drafts customer-facing messages for declined cards and failed renewals for designers to refine
What our experts own
- Engineers decide the payment model and which system owns customers, prices, invoices and refunds
- Engineers set idempotency, retry and reconciliation rules so a resent event does not charge twice
- API keys are restricted, rotated and kept out of code and AI prompts; card data stays with Stripe
- QA signs off declines, disputes and 3D Secure flows before go-live; Radar rules are set with your team
From checkout to a reconciled Stripe payment
Illustrative one-time payment; subscriptions, Connect payouts and invoices add their own events to the same pattern.
Payment intent created
Your server creates a payment intent with an idempotency key, so a double-click or retry reuses it.
Customer pays
Card details go into Stripe-hosted fields; 3D Secure and Radar rules run where they apply.
Checkpoint: Your team owns the Radar rules
Signed webhook
Stripe posts the payment event to your endpoint; the signature is verified before anything else runs.
Idempotent handler
The event ID is recorded first, so resent events are skipped and late ones cannot overwrite newer states.
Order updated
The order is marked paid, fulfillment or account access starts, and the charge syncs to your accounting system.
Payout reconciliation
Balance transactions and payouts are matched to orders, refunds and fees; mismatches go on a report.
Checkpoint: Finance reviews mismatches before closing books
When something fails: Customers get a clear decline message and can try another card; if webhooks stop, a catch-up job fetches missed events and alerts your team.
What you receive
What your Stripe integration includes
Checkout and payment links
Stripe Checkout, Elements or Payment Links set up for your flow, with clear messages for declined cards and extra authentication steps.
Subscription billing
Stripe Billing with trials, proration, failed-payment retries and dunning emails, plus account access that follows payment status.
Marketplace payouts
Stripe Connect onboarding, split payments and payouts, with clear handling of seller accounts that are restricted or need verification.
Invoicing
Stripe Invoicing with reminders, PDF invoices and bank payment options where available, synced to your accounting system.
Webhook architecture
Signed webhook endpoints that process each event once, retry safely, log every event and catch up after downtime by reconciling with Stripe.
Fraud and authentication
Stripe Radar rules, 3D Secure where required and dispute workflows, set up around your team's risk decisions.
Prepare an integration that your team can operate
Access and inputs
Provide an eligible Stripe account, test access, product and price rules, countries and currencies, refund requirements and the system that owns billing. Confirm whether subscriptions or connected accounts are in scope.
A realistic first scope
Start with one complete payment or subscription lifecycle, including failed payments, cancellations and reconciliation. Account approval, available methods, disputes and provider fees remain with Stripe and your business.
Handover and maintenance
We deliver the agreed connection, test evidence, configuration notes and recovery instructions. Assign an owner for alerts and reconciliation. Provider changes, credentials and ongoing monitoring can be maintained under an agreed support plan; provider charges remain separate.
How we deliver your Stripe integration
- 01
Map payment flows
Map products, prices, currencies, taxes and refunds, decide which system owns customers and invoices, and list the failure cases to handle.
- 02
Design and test mode
Design the payment and webhook model, then write contract tests in Stripe test mode for declines, disputes, 3D Secure and resent events.
- 03
Build and harden
Build idempotent API calls, signed webhook handling, retries and reconciliation jobs, with logs and alerts your team can read.
- 04
Go live and monitor
Switch to restricted live keys, verify the first live payments, and keep dashboards for failures, disputes and payouts on an agreed support plan.
Two ways to work with AI tools
AI helps draft integration code and contract tests. Choose where it may process your code and API data.
- Private / Local AI Engineering
Privately hosted models inside infrastructure you control or an agreed isolated environment.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Stripe available in my country?
Stripe operates in supported countries, and the payment methods and features you can use depend on your country, currency and business type. We check your setup against Stripe's current documentation at the start, before any design depends on it, and plan alternatives if something is not available.
Can you connect Stripe to our billing, ERP or CRM?
Yes. We sync customers, invoices, payments and refunds with systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or Salesforce, decide which system owns each record, and run reconciliation reports so finance can spot mismatches before closing the books.
Do AI tools see our customers' card details?
No. We design checkout so card numbers go straight to Stripe through Stripe-hosted fields and do not pass through your servers or our tools. AI tools work on code and test-mode data. If code and logs must stay on infrastructure you control, Private / Local AI Engineering covers that; otherwise we use Claude Code / OpenAI Codex Engineering under controls we agree with you.
