Shopify Development

Custom themes, apps, headless storefronts and back-office integrations for Shopify, designed, built, tested and monitored by one team that stays with your store after launch.

Shopify stores built and run by one team

As a Shopify store grows, the theme gets harder to change, apps pile up, and orders or stock counts drift between Shopify and your back office. We design and build custom Liquid themes, Shopify apps and headless storefronts on Next.js, and connect Shopify to your ERP, CRM, 3PL and accounting through its Admin and Storefront APIs. Webhooks are verified and processed once, syncs retry and reconcile, and the same team covers design, QA and monitoring after launch.

AI-assisted, expert-led Shopify development

How AI assists

  • Drafts Liquid sections, app code and GraphQL queries that engineers review, test and refine
  • Writes contract tests for webhooks and Admin API calls, including resent events and rate-limit responses
  • Proposes product, customer and order mappings for migrations and ERP syncs, for engineers to verify
  • Reviews webhook and sync logs to find failed jobs, duplicates and the orders they affect

What our experts own

  • Designers own storefront journeys, accessibility and the states shown when stock or payment fails
  • Engineers decide which system owns products, stock and orders: Shopify, your ERP or your 3PL
  • Engineers manage app credentials and API scopes, limiting each app to the access it needs
  • We approve launches, redirects and app permission changes, and own monitoring after go-live

How a Shopify order reaches your back office

Illustrative order-to-ERP path; your stack and agreed record ownership shape the real version.

  1. Order placed

A completed checkout makes Shopify send an orders/create webhook to your app's endpoint.

  2. Verify and record

The handler checks the HMAC signature, stores the webhook ID, and acknowledges before any heavy work starts.

Checkpoint: Unsigned or repeated events are dropped

  3. Queued ERP push

A worker sends the order to your ERP or 3PL, retrying with backoff when either side rate-limits.

  4. Fulfillment and stock

Tracking numbers and stock levels return through the Admin API, so Shopify reflects what the warehouse shipped.

  5. Back-office reconciliation

Orders, stock and refunds in Shopify are compared with your ERP, and any gap is listed by order.

Checkpoint: Your ops team reviews each gap

When something fails: Failed pushes retry, then wait in a held-orders list with an alert; staff see the order tagged as not yet synced.

What you receive

What your Shopify project can include

  • Custom theme development

Liquid themes built from your brand and design system, checked for speed, accessibility and SEO before launch.

  • Custom and public apps

Shopify apps that extend the admin, checkout or storefront, with webhook handlers that verify each request and process every event once.

  • Headless commerce

Next.js storefronts on the Storefront API, with caching, content previews and a plan for SEO and inventory accuracy.

  • ERP, CRM and 3PL integrations

Orders, inventory, customers and fulfillment synced with your back office, with retries, rate-limit handling and scheduled reconciliation.

  • Subscription billing

Subscription apps or custom logic on Shopify's subscription APIs, with failed-renewal handling and clear customer messages.

  • Multi-store and markets

Inventory, pricing and content kept consistent across stores and markets, with alerts when a sync falls behind.

Prepare an integration that your team can operate

  • Access and inputs

Provide a development store or approved collaborator access, your plan, installed apps and the systems that own stock, orders and customer records. Bring examples of the data and failure cases to exchange.

  • A realistic first scope

Choose a defined theme, app or synchronization flow first. Checkout, subscriptions and B2B requirements must fit the actual plan and apps; migration and ongoing merchandising are agreed as separate work where needed.

  • Handover and maintenance

We deliver the agreed connection, test evidence, configuration notes and recovery instructions. Assign an owner for alerts and reconciliation. Provider changes, credentials and ongoing monitoring can be maintained under an agreed support plan; provider charges remain separate.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you migrate from WooCommerce to Shopify?

Yes. We migrate products, customers and order history, map old URLs to new ones with 301 redirects, and run test imports and checks before the switch. Cutover is planned for a low-traffic window with a rollback plan, to keep disruption for customers low.

Do you work with Shopify Plus?

Yes. We build checkout customizations with Shopify Functions and checkout UI extensions, wholesale and B2B setups, and automation for Plus stores. If your store still relies on older checkout customizations, we plan the move to Shopify's current extension tools.

What happens if a webhook or sync fails?

We design for it. Webhook handlers verify each request, record the event ID and process it once, so a resent event does not create a duplicate order or stock change. Failed jobs retry with backoff, and a scheduled reconciliation compares Shopify with your ERP and alerts your team to any gap.
